Intimate Family Wedding in Brentwood, Tennessee

I love shooting small intimate weddings, so when my friend Akii called me to shoot her wedding, of course, I said yes.  They kept the guest list to immediate family and it was held at their beautiful home in Brentwood.  Their wedding was one of the most special weddings I’ve ever attended.  I met the couple outside on their patio where they had pews and candles set up for where the ceremony would take place.  As we shot around their property, we headed to a tree in the front yard where they had just carved their initials.  In these modern times, I love the throwback of something so sweet and simple to express love.  The families gathered on the pews as Seth had a surprise for Akii where he asked his friend Sarah Buxton to sing as Akii was walked out by her father.  As they exchanged their vows that they had written, you could hear sweet sobs by the people who were so happy for the couple.   Afterwards, they all gathered around the table to enjoy home cooked fried chicken.  You can’t get more Nashville than that!  It was a sweet day filled with love.
