Classic Nashville Winter Proposal | Sarah & George

I’ve had the good fortune to be a part of a handful of proposals.  I must say they’re quite special.  Over Christmas, George contacted me about taking photos for his proposal to Sarah.  He had a plan devised and I easily fit in as the ‘new photographer needing to build her portfolio.’  That’s what he told Sarah and she agreed to be my subject.  We met at the Shelby pedestrian bridge and started our afternoon shoot.  We walked around downtown for a ‘tourist’ feel for the shoot.  We made our way to the super trendy 12South area where we visited the super hip Draper James owned by Nashville’s own Reese Witherspoon.  I next suggested shooting at Cheekwood.  We had discussed a specific location on the property where he would get down on one knee.  The plan worked so well and Sarah was actually surprised.  She said yes and we took some true couple shots.  As we continued shooting, I could see the reality of what just happened soaking in.  It was true bliss for her.  What a fun day with a sweet couple.  Ahh, love.
