Jennifer + Scott’s wedding was so special for me to shoot, not only because it was a wedding at The Hermitage (President Andrew Jackson’s home), but the bride is one of my best friends. I was so excited to shoot Jennifer and Scott’s Christmas-inspired engagement shoot in December 2015 and knew that a fall wedding would be perfect and less likely for rain.
Well, unfortunately, it did rain that October day, but I hear that rain on your wedding day is good luck. Jennifer’s sister and niece flew in from California to be her bridesmaids. Her mom gave her away and I know her dad was looking down on the day from heaven. The ceremony was moved from the lawn to inside the log cabin located on the property. It made for such a sweet intimate setting for the two to exchange vows.
Jennifer walked down the aisle as her good friend from college, Josh Turner, serenaded the couple. Thankfully, the rain parted enough for us to get some photos of the couple in by the beautiful historic home of President Jackson. The night was made perfect with catering by Jim & Nick’s BBQ and Gigi’s Cupcakes put together a beautiful cupcake tower. DJ Kevin (my childhood friend) of Choice DJ’s set the party with an amazing playlist as the guests danced into the night. Jennifer + Scott made their grand exit with a shower of bubbles, capping of an amzing wedding day!
