The Power of Personal Branding

Katelin and David were married at an enchanting venue in Shelbyville, Tennessee (just a short drive South of Nashville).  The setting was held at the beautiful outdoor venue, Grace Valley Farms.   It was my first wedding to shoot at Grace Valley Farms, so I was unaware of all the options they have available for a ceremony.

Katelin and David chose to do a first look so that they could maximize their time post ceremony.  This gave them the ability to shoot their wedding party and most family photos before the ceremony begins.  For the first look, it was just the two of them, my second-shooter, videographer and myself.  David’s reaction was so wonderful and sweet as he lost it at the site of his beautiful bride for the first time in her wedding dress.  After giving them some time, we drove around the property finding all of their beautiful locations for their portraits.

The ceremony was magical with their guests sitting in the shade of the trees that formed a beautiful awning.  Nature was all around as they said their vows and created their unity braid.  It was gorgeous and rustic just like the valleys you found throughout Tennessee.

The reception was held in the barn on the property.  Family and friends played corn hole, took part in the photo booth and visited with each other during cocktail hour.  Katelin and David made their entrance into the reception and danced their first dance.  Katelin’s father said the blessing before dinner was served.

I’m so glad they allowed me to pull them away from the reception for a few minutes to get some last minute golden hour portraits.  Guests enjoyed the rest of the evening as they all partook in organized dancing and some fun lip-syncing, namely to Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.”  They ended the night with their sparkler grand exit.  It was the perfect ending to a very perfect day for these two sweet people.

You can see more of these two from their engagement session here.
