Earlier this year, I photographed Ali and Rob’s engagement session in their hometown of Columbia, Tennessee. I love that they chose the same place for their wedding.
They chose to have their ceremony at the First United Methodist Church just off the square. The sanctuary was so beautiful that we decided it would be the ideal location for their first look. Once they had their special moment, we went outside to take their portraits. Both were great sports as it was a very warm part of a hot July day. The ceremony was so lovely as the two professed their love and said their vows. Once the first kiss happened, they made their way outside the church to be engulfed by family and friends before making their way to Rob’s father’s antique Jeep.
Guests took a brief walk to Westbury House where they enjoyed cocktail hour with the most impressive display of cheese and charcuterie I’ve ever seen. As soon as Ali and Rob arrived, they went straight into their first dance, followed by their parent dances. A prayer was given to bless the dinner, night and marriage. Shortly after guests started to enjoy the buffet style dinner, the band Even Odds began to play. Ali was so excited to have gotten a band from Memphis and they were very entertaining!
As the night wound down, everyone gathered outside to see the couple off into their limo and showered them with bubbles. Ali and Rob, it was such an honor to photograph your wedding. I wish y’all a lifetime of happiness and love.
