Columbia, Tennessee Fall Wedding at Antrim Celebrations | Ariel + Allen

When I met Ariel + Allen at their engagement session over the summer, I knew their wedding was going to be so much fun.  Not only are they both the two sweetest souls, but they know how to have fun.  Ariel put all her trust in me as her photographer and I really appreciated that.

The Details

When I arrived at Antrim Celebrations, I arrived at the barn to unload most of my gear.  I was able to get a sneak peek of the setup of the reception space.  I snapped a few images of what was set up and ready before I walked up to the main house to photograph the details

When I arrived, Ariel was in the makeup chair surrounded by her bridesmaids, getting the finishing touches done.  She asked me to take her gift to Allen over to the groomsmen getting ready building to photograph him as he opened her gift.  He was so filled with joy and happiness, and I think I saw him tear up, but he kept stoic with the biggest smile as he opened a beautiful watch that Ariel picked out especially for him.

The First Look

Ariel + Allen chose to do a first look and with the leaves being so vibrant in front of the house, I knew that would be the perfect location for that moment.  I positioned Allen where he was looking away from the house as Ariel walked down to him, called his name and he turned around.  They were both beaming from ear to ear as they took each other in for the first time on their wedding day.

These are my favorite moments from a wedding day, being one of the few people who is watching this couple have this very special moment together.  After a few minutes together, we started with wedding party portraits, followed by family portraits before we whisked the couple away to hide from arriving guests.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was held in one of the many picturesque open fields on the property.  They had one of the most beautiful floral circle arbors to frame the altar.  The pair exchanged vows in a Christian ceremony where they professed their love to each other in front of their family and friends.  Once they were pronounced man + wife, we snuck away to the front of the house to incorporate all the beautiful fall colors in their bride and groom portraits.

Reception

The reception began as they were introduced by their DJ.  The couple was surprised by an acapella version of “Stand By Me” by their college friends.  The performance was followed by a blessing of the food.  Parent dances soon followed along with cake cutting, including the groom’s cake that had a drawing of his vintage truck named Elvira.

They danced, posed for group photos with family and friends, threw the bouquet and garter, and ended the night with a sparkler exit that led them to Allen’s beloved truck Elvira.
