When your brand lives at the intersection of education, luxury, and experience, your visuals need to do more than look beautiful. They need to tell a story. That was exactly the goal of this Nashville branding session for sommelier, Sara, of Somm in the City. We took Sara’s branding photos at a stunning private home in Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee. It was a relaxed and inviting vibe, which is exactly the energy we wanted to portray in her photos.
Sara is a distinguished Certified Sommelier, Olive Oil Sommelier, Sherry Specialist, Cava Educator, and Content Curator. She travels the world while living between Nashville and New York. Her work spans wine and olive oil education, luxury amenities, curated events, and immersive tasting experiences, both virtual and in person. With experience and knowledge like hers, it was important that her branding photos reflected not only her expertise, but also her energy, warmth, and approachability.
We intentionally designed Sara’s branding session to incorporate all of her specialties. Rather than static portraits, we focused on interactive, storytelling-driven images. The photos we captured show her in action pouring glasses of a variety of wines, pairing wine with food (that charcuterie board looked amazing!), using her specialty olive oils, and creating moments of invitation into this delicious world of food, wine, and olive oil.
These images reflect what it’s actually like to work with Sara, which is always the goal of branding sessions! Whether hosting a luxury event or leading a virtual tasting, Somm in the City is rooted in connection, professionalism, and creating memorable experiences. Her branding images reflect her trusted authority while still feeling warm, personal, and inviting.
Branding sessions should always be intentional, aligning with your expertise, offerings, and your personality. When you take the time to plan out what you want to communicate and highlight that with your brand images, like Sara did, the result is branding photos that tell a story, showcase who you are and what you do in a way that invites people in. Sara’s sommelier branding session is a wonderful example of how thoughtful branding photography can elevate your brand and visually communicate what you offer and what clients can expect when working with you.
