The Power of Personal Branding

When you walk into a medical office, you’re looking for expertise as well as reassurance. You want to feel confident in the care you’re receiving, but also comfortable with the people providing it. That balance of professionalism and warmth is exactly what we set out to capture during Columbia Surgical Partners’ branding session, a private practice general surgery group based in Columbia, TN.

Columbia Surgical Partners is a team of five surgeons and a nurse practitioner, all women, bringing both skill and compassion to their patients every day. With the recent addition of two new partners, this session was the perfect opportunity to update their headshots and create a cohesive set of images that reflect who they are today. This team of women medical professionals value clinical excellence, as well as the experience they provide to their patients. These branding photos were the perfect way to highlight these values. 

While we did update individual headshots as well as team images, we also focused on capturing the environment of their offices. They wanted their images to highlight the comfort and warmth of their office, as well as the cleanliness you’d expect from a medical professional. For patients viewing their office online, this creates comfort in knowing what to expect when they walk in the door, especially in patients who are nervous.

We also incorporated interactive moments that show their connection, care, and approachability with patients. In a healthcare setting, these elements matter.  These images help communicate an important message to patients: You’re in good hands here.

Columbia Surgical Partners’ Medical Branding Photos 

Branding photography isn’t just for creatives or entrepreneurs. It’s incredibly valuable in the medical field as well. For practices like Columbia Surgical Partners, professional imagery helps to build trust and credibility with patients, create a sense of familiarity before the first visit, introduce the team of professionals they might interact with, and reflect the quality of care and attention to detail patients can expect. 

This session was such a great example of how intentional branding can bring a team’s identity to life. Columbia Surgical Partners now has a cohesive, updated gallery of images that matches the level of care they provide every single day, and reflects their expertise, their growth, and the welcoming environment they’ve worked so hard to create.
