The Power of Personal Branding

Ann & David were married on the gorgeous property of Antrim Celebrations in Columbia, Tennessee.  This wedding was extra special because Ann is the third bride in a very close group of friends, whose wedding I’ve had the joy of photographing (side note, I’m totally kicking myself for not getting a photo of the three Amy Allmand brides).  Clemmie Grace Designs worked with Ann on her beautiful Southern wedding, including my favorite touches like magnolia blooms and leaves.  Her colors of ivory and gray were so perfect to let those beautiful bouquets shine.  Their ceremony was held in front of the 200 year home as the sun started its descent.  Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour out in the yard that was adorned with vintage couches, including Ann’s grandmother’s couch.  During that time, I took the bride and groom to the freshly cut hay field with bails scattered across the field.  It was the perfect location for their just married images.  The reception kicked off with the amazing Michael Jons Band out of Atlanta.  Shortly after the first dance, parent dances, and cake cutting, David went to ‘dig up the bourbon,’ which was the first time I’ve participated in this tradition.  Legend says that you ‘bury the bourbon’ one month before your wedding day to ensure that you have nice weather.  Well, it worked because it was a beautiful day!

I’ve never seen such a group of people who enjoyed the band as much as Ann & David’s friends.  The dance floor was so packed, you’d think you were at the Taylor Swift concert that was going on the same night.  For their grand exit, their guest lined up with University of Tennessee orange and white pom-poms to send the couple off to their honeymoon.

It was so much fun working with this sweet couple!  I pray that their marriage is filled with many, many years of love, laughter, and happiness!
