After working for music publisher, Big Loud Shirt, for 10 years, it’s is such a treat to be asked to come to the annual staff and writer Christmas party. When I started working there in 2005, the party was about 12 of us (shared with Diver Dann Publishing) and we went for dinner at the Melting Pot. It steadily grew over the years as owner, Craig Wiseman upgraded houses and added staff and writers. This year their party of now 3 companies (Big Loud Mountain, Big Loud Records, and Big Loud Shirt) included almost 70 people! They tented in the back yard, creating a beautiful dining area, always catered by Coco’s Italian Market. Craig’s wife, KK always does a lovely job of decorating and adding special touches like handing out sparkly slippers for the ladies to be able to relax. After dinner, everyone gathers for what used to be a very brutal game of dirty Santa. Still, a little R rated, they have limited the game to only 1 steal per gift, so it doesn’t go on into the wee hours. All in all, it was another great evening with full tummies, great drinks, laughter, and some Big Loud love.
