To me, one of the best parts of any branding session is the moment that your new gallery arrives in your inbox! All of the planning and decision making is done, the actual session is wrapped up – and now all of that has come together so you can finally see and use your new brand photography! While many clients will book with specific project or updates in mind, new branding photos can be used in so many parts of your business! So today, I want to share where you should implement using your updated and beautiful new branding photography gallery!
#1: Website
After you get your new branding gallery, go straight to your website to make some changes. While the homepage is probably the most obvious place you’ll replace photos, don’t forget about the rest of your website! Plan to place new photos on your about page, service page, and contact page. This is a great spot for some of those more detailed photos to come into play! Remember, people buy from people – so I always recommend including your face as much as possible (and as much makes sense for your brand) on your website.
#2: Social Media
Many clients share their new branding photos on social media right away. But there’s lots of creative ways to share your photos beyond feed posts. Consider updating your profile photos and banners on each platform. There’s also stories, reels, and ads that might use your new pictures, too!
#3: Email Marketing
Another great place to update your branding photos is your email marketing! New branding portraits are a great chance to create or update your email signature or create a new header in your templates. If you have existing workflows or campaigns, don’t forget to update those too.
#4: Printed Materials
Printed materials can be a great place for new branding photos too! If you have business cards, make sure you put your new headshot on them. Update any marketing or event materials like flyers and brochures. Some businesses even offer referral cards – and that can be a wonderful spot for your headshot or a flat lay photo from your branding session, too!
#5: Presentations or Media Kits
If you’re a speaker at an upcoming event or recording new educational materials for your business, include your branding photos in the slide deck or introductions! There’s nothing better than being able to add a high-quality photo of your brand/business to your presentation materials. It makes you look so professional. The same concept applies to media kits or other releases that you might have too. Trust me: the high quality photo from your branding gallery is a much better option than a selfie!
#6: Blog Posts
Blogging is a great way to drive traffic to your website! Branding photos provide fantastic content to include in your posts – whether it’s adding your headshot in or some of the photos of you working or the details of your business. High quality imagery is important to keep people on your site and reading your content, so pull out that branding gallery when you sit down to blog!
#7: Client Communication
Depending on the type of business, you may be communicating with your clients regularly as part of their onboarding or experience. Adding branding photos to the various documents or components is a great way to keep your face/brand in their mind. Consider where it makes sense to place a headshot or again, use the detail photos to bring some fun colors to your documentation.
As you can see, there’s so many places to update once you get your new branding photography gallery. It’s an exciting time – and I think it’s so much fun to see how my clients use their new photos to update the face of their brand!
